Barack Obama was raised by a single mother and his grandparents. They didn't have much money, but they taught him values from the Kansas heartland where they grew up. He took out loans to put himself through school. After college, he worked for Christian churches in Chicago, helping communities devastated when steel plants closed.
Obama turned down lucrative job o?ers after law school to return to Chicago, leading a successful voter registration drive. He joined a small law ?rm, taught constitutional law and, guided by his Christian faith, stayed active in his community. Obama and his wife Michelle are proud parents of two daughters, Sasha and Malia.

I am a 54 year old female who has voted in every election since I was old enough to vote. I strongly support Obama! I've lived through the results of what happens when people don't vote, and equally as important don't take the time to find out about the candidates' positions on issues before voting. Too many people believe what they are told without any back up facts. No one can outwit you when you're armed with knowlege. I'm constantly getting these smear emails full of lies about Obama. I strongly suggest that if anyone else receives emails of this type, please reply back by challenging them to check the facts at factcheck. org or snopes. com. I also would like to add that I have a daughter (Marine Corp) and son in law (Navy) who are active duty military and they both support Obama, so please know that the lies about Obama having little military support are not true. A large amount of the military support Obama.
