Barack Obama was raised by a single mother and his grandparents. They didn't have much money, but they taught him values from the Kansas heartland where they grew up. He took out loans to put himself through school. After college, he worked for Christian churches in Chicago, helping communities devastated when steel plants closed.
Obama turned down lucrative job o?ers after law school to return to Chicago, leading a successful voter registration drive. He joined a small law ?rm, taught constitutional law and, guided by his Christian faith, stayed active in his community. Obama and his wife Michelle are proud parents of two daughters, Sasha and Malia.
Hey, Guam for Obama. Did you know that tonight President Obama is delivering a major address on health insurance reform to a special joint session of Congress?
Share this with a loved one (musical video w/theme: The Good, The Bad and the Ugly).

In order to know how is the solitude, You should see that to your side he is no more. That never more you would be able to chat with him, about what is goodness, about what is badness. The solitude is a friend who is no longer with us. Is his word that will not be recalled the same way. It is like a dream with lights surrounding you, and you realize that he would not die anymore, will not die anymore. In order to know how the flower dies, thus you would have to see how peace, also, dies. But that peace will reborn in his voice the flower of the truth, to sing to him, the same. The solitude is a friend who is no longer with us.......

The following is Sen. Bill Nelson reply to our letter requesting support of a strong Public Option that would comply with Obama’s outlined 3 core principles:1. - Low cost insurance for all. 2.- Freedom of Choice of a Public or Private Plan and 3.- Availability of quality Health Care insurance for all American, regardless of medical precondition. .. President Obama promised, as part of his campaign for the presidency, to require Congress to enact a Bill of Universal Health Care Insurance for America.
You believed on his ability to deliver and elected him as our President and now he is working hard against the lobbyist of the big insurance industry in Washington to deliver, as promised,
However, he can not do it alone. He relies on us to put pressure on our congressional representatives, in order to stop listening to the big interests in Washington. For that reason he called on a series of actions to achieve this, among them was a call to host a National Health Care Day of Service on June 27, 2009. I am hosting one at 5:00PM at “The Dominican Park”, in Allapattah, located at 2800 NW 17th Avenue, Miami, Florida 33142.
Last week, a draft of the Senate Finance Committee's health care reform bill was leaked to the press—and it lacked a public health insurance option, the heart of President Obama's plan for real reform. A strong public option is key to bringing down the costs for all of us—both the cost of enacting a new health care bill and the cost to patients who're currently stuck with out-of-control premiums. And we need to make sure the Finance Committee hears this message immediately.
Florida voters have a special role to play since our senator, Bill Nelson, is on the Finance Committee. Sen. Nelson needs to hear from voters all around Florida. Our message to Senator Bill Nelson is that, based on President Obama 3 Principles, Americans demand a strong public health insurance option NOW: one that is available to everyone, national in scope with real bargaining clout, ready to go on day one, and truly public.
We only get one chance for health care reform, and we have to get it right. That means you need to tell your friends in Florida to call him NOW. Here's where to call: Senator Bill Nelson Phone: 202-224-5274
My name is Richard Charman, a volunteer supporting the implementation of a Universal Health Care Insurance. This week, as key Congressional committees are finalizing draft health care reform legislation, key leaders in Washington are now saying that any health care reform will—and must—include a public health insurance option. However, some Senators are hearing from insurance lobbyists who oppose a Public Plan. The latest that's gaining steam is a proposal for "co-ops"—small, regional insurers that would be too weak to bring costs down or compete with existing private insurance. We need to make sure they're also hearing from Americans who support strong health care reform this year. We have to push back right away and with a clear message: Americans demand a strong public health insurance option, one that is available to everyone, national in scope with real bargaining clout, ready to go on day one, and truly public. We only get one chance for health care reform, and we have to get it right. Our senator, Bill Nelson, needs to hear right now from people all across Florida to know that these public plans in name only won't cut it: Americans want a strong public health insurance option as part of real reform this year. That means we need 115 people to call from Miami now. Can you call? Here's where to call: Senator Bill Nelson Phone: 202-224-5274 And after you call, click on the link below to report how it went: http://pol.moveon.org/call?tg=FSFL_1&cp_id=962&id=16410-9868251-KmDPWUx&t=3
On May 27, 2009, I received an email for a Conference call, in reference to the proposed Health Care Reform, with President Obama and his former Director of Campaign, David Plouffe, and I rushed to create the following invitation to encourage my neighbors to participate in this event.
Later on we received copy by email of the Conference Call and decided to share with you this video, posted on youtube, as a way to encourage you to participate in the discussion of something that will change the lives of all of us in this Nation. Watch it!
Judging by the success of different discussions held, one of them at the Miami’s Downtown Bay Forum and the other at the American Legion, organized by Santiago Leon, J.D., on June 1, 2009, it is obvious that everybody seems to be interested on this issue, including the Hispanic community and those, like Dr. Olveen Carrasquillo, advocating for the well being of the immigrants, as the below video shows…….
Please, if you find merit on the cause of Universal Health Care, forward to your friends Customize this letter and send it to your Congress Representative. ..
I did my part and delivered my petition to Senator Bill Nelson, as the video shows.
I found this video from Director: Julian Temple. Shot on the coast of England (looking at Wales) intercut with footage of the film "Robin Hood; Prince of Thieves".
Thank you for all you've done for this campaign! Please let me know what you think of my latest blog if you get a chance... I would love to hear your thoughts. -lisa
