Barack Obama was raised by a single mother and his grandparents. They didn't have much money, but they taught him values from the Kansas heartland where they grew up. He took out loans to put himself through school. After college, he worked for Christian churches in Chicago, helping communities devastated when steel plants closed.
Obama turned down lucrative job o?ers after law school to return to Chicago, leading a successful voter registration drive. He joined a small law ?rm, taught constitutional law and, guided by his Christian faith, stayed active in his community. Obama and his wife Michelle are proud parents of two daughters, Sasha and Malia.
Make sure you get out and vote today. Leave it all on the ground, give today your best effort, and show up to volunteer at a Democratic Party or Campaign for Change office today!
Awesome job, NM for Obama team! All of your hard work has turned our state blue, and inspired all of us to get involved...including this Chicago native! I joined the march from the Obama field office on Central to early voting at UNM - and voted for ALL the dems on the ticket! I knocked on some doors. I have my car and windows plastered with signs and stickers. I've worn my Obama t-shirts and pins every chance I've had - and had some great conversations as a result. I've blogged about the reasons to vote for Obama/Biden (and against McCain/Palin!). I've encouraged all of my friends, colleagues and students to vote. And I've done all of this because I've been inspired by Barack...and you! Thanks again for all of your tireless efforts - let's celebrate that, along with victory, tomorrow night!!!
well i did my best, i got everybody i know to vote for Obama, except my mother-in-law.... and we all voted early. let's win this thing becasue i'm tried of watching MSNBC

o, say can you see by the dawn's early light what so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight o'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming and the rocket's red glare the bombs bursting in air gave proof through the night that our flag was still there oh say does that star spangled banner yet wave o'er the land of the free, and the home of the brave
McCain is giving up on winning New Mexico. 2 weeks to go. I am asking every one to help me get out the Obama vote. We need to leave no question who wins the state this election. Do what you have to do to get our people to the polls early. Tell them they will keep getting called until they vote. Let us make sure all of us knock on doors. Finish strong and know you are making history.
What I did: You can vote absentee NOW in person at the Bernalillo County Clerk (old offices NOT at City Hall) Office. It's on the corner of 7th and Lomas, south side of Lomas.
Early voting begins October 18th at the following locations: (Tuesday-Friday, 12-8pm, and Saturdays, 10am-6pm) Paradise Hills Community Center Los Ranchos Villa Coors Plaza Integrity Plaza Siesta Hills Del Norte Shopping Center Market Center East 98th & Center Shopping Center Goff Plaza Daskalos Shopping Center Juan Tabo Plaza CNM-South Valley Campus UNM, Student Union Building Tijeras City Hall
People we have to do more to educate people about voting for the right man. Kills me to know hispanics are voting for the other party when they should be on our side.
