Barack Obama was raised by a single mother and his grandparents. They didn't have much money, but they taught him values from the Kansas heartland where they grew up. He took out loans to put himself through school. After college, he worked for Christian churches in Chicago, helping communities devastated when steel plants closed.
Obama turned down lucrative job o?ers after law school to return to Chicago, leading a successful voter registration drive. He joined a small law ?rm, taught constitutional law and, guided by his Christian faith, stayed active in his community. Obama and his wife Michelle are proud parents of two daughters, Sasha and Malia.

I'm a 14 yr. old boy from Ohio, now I know I can't vote yet but I'm encouraging all of you to vote for change next week. Not because my parents want him in office, but because I've sat down and watched him speak for a long time when i get the chance. Do the right thing, vote for change, Nov 4 Obama+Biden=Change we NEED
Today we had a mock election at school.. and you definitely got my vote. If I were old enough to vote, I would vote for you, Obama, for sure. I'll vote in the next election. I hope you run again. :D

I so can’t wait till you are elected President. I am a freshman at Eastern Washington University and this election is going to be exciting. EWU will be home to the largest Associated Press Election Center in the country. We will be monitoring the voting results from 20 states and letting all the media know who won what state. It would be amazing if you are able to visit Eastern Washington University when elected. Vote OBAMA/BIDEN 08!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so sorry to hear about Obama's grandmother's untimely passing today :'(. I'm sure she left this world so incredibly proud of him. Stay strong, Barack- we need you!! Remember: YES WE CAN get through this :)
