Barack Obama was raised by a single mother and his grandparents. They didn't have much money, but they taught him values from the Kansas heartland where they grew up. He took out loans to put himself through school. After college, he worked for Christian churches in Chicago, helping communities devastated when steel plants closed.
Obama turned down lucrative job o?ers after law school to return to Chicago, leading a successful voter registration drive. He joined a small law ?rm, taught constitutional law and, guided by his Christian faith, stayed active in his community. Obama and his wife Michelle are proud parents of two daughters, Sasha and Malia.

o, say can you see by the dawn's early light what so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight o'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming and the rocket's red glare the bombs bursting in air gave proof through the night that our flag was still there oh say does that star spangled banner yet wave o'er the land of the free, and the home of the brave
Votes are more important then the polls, help make West Virginia a BLUE state. Share your passion and the truth of OBAMA with others in your community. BARACK THE VOTE!
"Stop voting for people you want to have a beer with. Stop voting for folksy. Stop voting for people who remind you of your neighbor. Stop voting for the ideologically intransigent, the staggeringly ignorant, and the blazingly incompetent.
Vote for someone smarter than you. Vote for someone who inspires you. Vote for someone who has not only traveled the world but who has also shown a deep understanding and compassion for it. The stakes are real and they're terrifyingly high. This election matters. It matters. It really matters. Let me say that one more time. This. Really. Matters."
-Michael Seitzman, from "Sarah Palin Naked" Huffington Post
Barack and Joe have SO many supporters here. I am working with the campaign in Huntington. Not only does the people of West Virginia want Barack to return here, but the fact that he has earned more donations here than McCain (Obama has raised over $300,000, McCain has raised only $180,000), shows his supporters have more belief in him than supporters of McCain. They say that McCain has a five percent lead over Obama here in WV, and that isn't much. We can all work hard here and give Barack and Joe the win in November.
There are fewer than four months until a great election, an election that will decide the next President of the United States.
The person elected will be the president of all Americans, not just the Democrats or the Republicans.
To show our solidarity as Americans, let's all get together and show each other our support for the candidate of our choice.
It's time that we all came together, Democrats and Republicans alike.
If you support the policies and character of Barack Obama, please drive with your headlights on during the day. If you support McCain, please drive with your headlights off at night.
