BARAKUDA - A trio who will not, must not, and cannot hide!
These three passionate and stage-savvy musicians, with their roots in Sicily and
Switzerland, didn't find each other somewhere between friscalettu and alphorn music
- but bang in the middle of British rock!
They quickly gave life to some timeless and tightly played songs, centered around
the charismatic voice of Michele Siciliano. All these songs, mostly addressing the
"game of life", combine both old and new elements; a 1968 AC30 Vox collides with a
sampling machine, and rocking beats chase acoustic guitar pickings. Solid, but at
the same time light and airy, their songs grab you and surprise you with their cheek!
In December 06, Barakuda were invited to immortalise three of their pearls in the
legendary Powerplay Studio, together with producer Yann Rouiller and StrongReaction Music.
After two years of creative work and with their new single in their travel-bags,
Barakuda are now in the starting blocks with a highly-energised programme and a live show designed to sweep/knock you off your feet.

BARAKUDA – Ein Trio das sich nicht verstecken will, nicht muss und erst recht nicht kann.
Drei leidenschaftliche und bühnenerfahrene Musiker mit sizilianischen und schweizerischen Wurzeln finden sich nicht etwas zwischen Alphorn und Friscalettu, sondern mitten im britischen Rock.
Geboren wurden zeitlose und kompakt gespielte Songs mit der charismatischen Stimme Michele Siciliano’s, die sich meist um das „Spiel des Lebens“ drehen. Das Fundament besteht aus alten und neuen Elementen; so prallt ein 68er AC30 Vox auf Samplingmaschine und rockige Beats jagen akustische Gitarrenpickings. Solid aber luftig knallen die Stücke daher und überraschen mit ihrer frechen Art.
Im Dezember 06 wurden Barakuda ins legendäre Powerplay Studio eingeladen, um mit dem Produzenten Yann Rouiller und StrongReaction Music drei ihrer Perlen auf Tonträger zu verewigen.
Nach zwei Jahren kreativer Arbeit und ihrer neuen Single im Gepäck stehen Barakuda mit energiegeladenem Programm und mitreissender Liveshow in den Startlöchern um ihre Songs in die Welt hinaus zu brettern!
