Brief History Of Barathrum
The Finnish black metal act Barathrum was originally formed in the winter of 1990 under the moniker Darkfeast. Only a rehearsal tape called "Breakfast" was recorded with the original line-up. In the summer of 1991 the name was changed to Barathrum, the name apparently conjured up during some kind of magical experience according to band leader Demonos himself. During October and November of 1991 they recorded their first studio demo called "Witchmaster" at the Inferno studio, produced by Beherit band leader Holocausto. The demo sold about 600 copies and consisted of seven tracks. In March of 1992 the second demo "Battlecry" was recorded at Gothic Sound Studio, produced by Sami Jansen. The first 200 copies of this demo were sold by the producer and drummer Ilu without Demonos' permission and the final mix of the demo was done without Demonos in the studio. As soon as Demonos had got hold of the recordings another 500-600 copies were sold. After this the lineup began to fall apart. New members were gathered and all of a sudden the band had two bass players, something highly unusual at that time. New line-up changes followed and a deal was signed with the German label Nazgul's Eyrie Productions (later on to become Barbarian Wrath) and finally with Finland's own Spinefarm Records. Demonos has been responsible for all lyrics and most of the music for Barathrum since the very beginning. The band are currently on their way to releasing 8 albums, with the first letter of every album forming the phrase "Heil Sova!".
The band announced that their album "Anno Aspera - 2003 Years After Bastard's Birth", released on February 2nd, 2005, would be the swansong.

24/12/07......saya telah selamat menjalani pembedahan fasa pertama iaitu buang darah beku di bahagian otak dan saraf tunjang. doktor mengesahkan jika keadaan saya stabil mungkin pada 28@29/12/07 saya akan menjalani pembedahan kedua iaitu pembedahan kanser otak. buat masa sekarang alhamdulillah keadaan saya agak ok la tapi saya tidak dapat bercakap kerana kesan sampingan yang dialami selepas pembedahan. kalau umur dipanjangkan tuhan insya'allah saya akan online lagi. jika tidak....jangan disedihkan pemergian saya kerana itu telah menjadi suratan takdir kehidupan saya dan ia juga lumrah setiap yang hidup akan mati jua. wish u all successbut don't forget ALLAH....bye.

24/12/07......I already safe undergo surgery first phase viz dump blood clot in part of the brain and spinal cord. doctor confirmed if my state stable perhaps by 28@29/12/07 I will undergo surgery second viz brain cancer surgery. for now my state's praise to God quite good but I could not speak because side-effect undergone after surgery. if age lengthening god maybe I will online more. otherwise....please do not saddened my departure so as has become fate writing my life and it also usual every life mortal also. wish u all successbut do not forget ALLAH....bye.
