Boris Le Nevé from Quimper, Brittany, began as a saxophone player. During his musical studies, he got involved in various musical projects going from jazz to Breton folk music. First influenced by the mighty Matt Molloy, he began to play the wooden flute studying under the Breton piper Erwan Ropars. While playing in sessions in Brittany, he met the great flutist Malo Carvou, who influenced and inspired him to delve into irish traditional music. He then widened his horizons by playing at festivals and sessions in Europe, inspired by such names as Jean-Michel Veillon, Sylvain Barou, Nuala Kennedy, Brian Duke, Kevin Crawford…
Barbara Hintermeier is today one of the leading folk fiddlers in Germany. She began with classical violin at the age of seven. Surrounded in her youth by Bavarian folk music, she later became influenced by French and Swedish folk music. After attending her first Irish fiddle workshop, she became addicted to traditional Irish music. She just loves to meet musicians all over Europe for sessions lasting days and nights! Barbara is also a member of well-known lady Irish folk trio "More Maids" and on top of that teaches Bavarian dialect to her musical partners…
Chris Seitz was given his first guitar at the age of eight, and only one year later stood on stage playing "Lady in Red" in his parent’s restaurant. At the age of 15 he got the Irish music fever, and joined the band "Mountain Road". Dabbling occasionally in rock and heavy metal, he always remained true to Celtic music. After the break-up of "Mountain Road" in 1995, Chris founded the duo "Peddlar’s Pack" with Rudi Koller, later adding members to form the band "Banshee" which he still tours with. After contributing to his first solo CD "Away from Home" (released in 2009), Barbara and Boris joined Chris in founding “Woodpark”. Over the years, Chris has developed his own distinctive and powerful style on the guitar also performing solo.
Matthias Eisenbarth has heard Irish music since his early childhood, his father being a flutist. After learning classical trumpet and playing bass in rock groups, he discovered the world of bodhrán and bones. In his many travels to Ireland he learned his craft from great players such as Junior Davey, Paul Phillips, Svend Kjeldsen and Colm Phelan. He as well studied for a year in Brittany, playing in his free time in sessions and in a band with local musicians in this rich Celtic music environment. Matthias is also a member of the group "IFF" as well as an occasional member and studio musician for the duo "Harpish".
