About Barbara Byrd [DED]

I know I can speak on behalf of everyone else in the band when I say that we had an awesome time playing shows and working on music together. The four of us are better musicians and closer friends as a result. Thanks to anyone who has seen us, included us in a show, or played along with us.

Keep your eyes peeled for new music from each of us. Chris and I are in a metal band, the Sneeks are still kickin' it, and Devin and Chris have been working with K.C. King on some hot jams.

Devin	Feb 6 2008 5:31 AM After listening to a few local bands that people seem to dig on, I've come to a startling realization that I've been avoiding for awhile now. First let me preface this statement by saying that I do not think that barbara byrd in any way, shape, or form is a band in need of local (or any other type of) recognition. However, I do think that we may have something many bands seem to lack (or possibly have depending on what youre looking for). My reasoning is based soley on the fact that all of our songs thus far in our short career don't sound the same and yet share enough characteristics to be recognized as having been written by us. The bands Ive been observing seem to LACK this variety we may possess, or as I hinted at earlier, they could intentionally be trying to HAVE a certain "sound" in all the songs they write. Either way, I suppose I just felt like expressing a firm approval of Chris Caputo's, Tyler Bennet's, Dorian Lafferre's, and my own song writting capabilities. If you are a fan of the band, please continue to encourage us to finish recording. Its easy to think no one is listening when you play in a semi-serious local band.
