Barbaric Merits consists of Kansas City DJ's/Producers Dublow Seven and Mythik. Generally two humble souls, until they're put behind the tables or thrown into the studio....then the barbaric nature emanates from this destructive duo, resulting in some downright rugged sounds.
Mythik on DubLow: "Easily one of the most musically dedicated guys I know. What also makes him dangerous is how versatile he is on his programs. We can be working on something and by the time I have a record queued up to sample, he's already got the bassline down or a drum pattern built! Normally preferring to start beats from scratch, he's effortlessly made the adjustment to working with me and my sampling self, and we've found the middle ground where both of our ideas and input can come to life. The dude's gonna do really big things........believe me!"
DubLow on Mythik: "This guy is the embodiment of Hip-Hop. Through his art, music, and general nature, he is the essence of what the culture is all about. He's very easy to bounce ideas off of, always steps up to the plate, and whenever I'm lacking in creativity I just steal some of his because he has plenty to go around. Every time I think I know his limits, I'm quickly reminded of two things....1. I don't, 2. I can't fuck with him on scratching! I'm very much looking forward to the collaborative effort continuing and the destruction that will most certainly come with it."
