...But seriously, Barbarossa met because they know lots of the same good people. When they finally tried making music together it was good. They played again just to make sure. It was definitely good.
Barbarossa went into indefinite hiatus in summer 2006 when Michael left SF for NYC and David headed back the old country.

If you go to the YouTube sight and search for "Barbarossa" you will also find rap, german, schoolkids, grader, and 6th. Check out the Barbarossa rap. I don't speak much German, but I think that one of those kids is saying something about Matt's mustache
My favorite part about practice is actually afterwards when we all sit down and listen to the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack. I love me the Axel Foley theme tune because I get this great picture in my head of Eddie Murphy wearing white sneakers, tight blue jeans and a blue hoodie, sneaking into a heavily guarded L.A. mansion, followed closely by Judge Reinhold and that other guy.

Great tracks doods! Mike - that overdriven organ on flunk out is great, and the tremolo wurli, and the synth bass line near the end - fabulous.
You guys have a great feel. Man I can hear adding like vibes in this stuff like teh Tortoise.
