With her combination of technical skills and soulful phrasing, Barb Cheron has been entertaining audiences for many years. Her eclectic style has led her to playing in many groups throughout the years. In addition, Barb is an accomplished band leader and her groups range from duo to 7-piece band with horns. Her CD, Running Free, featuring Nicky Sund and Ben Johnson is now available through CD Baby. Barb recently completed her second CD, Interplay, a collaboration with fellow jazz guitarist, Tom Heaney.
Trained at the Milwaukee Conservatory of Music, Barb also studied with renowned jazz guitarists Roger Brotherhood, Cliff Frederiksen and Don Linke. In addition, she studied classical guitar with Professor Javier Calderon from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
