About me:
What a frightening prospect, to have to write about yourself. I prefer to write about other people. Preferably fictional people. Although I find myself absolutely fascinating, I doubt I'm all that interesting to the general public. How much time and space do I have? Currently, I'm having a mid-life existential crisis. I've been writing mostly romantic fiction for what feels like 112 years, but is probably closer to 20, have published two books and have A MONTH FROM MIAMI, a romantic comedy, due out in March 2008 as an eBook from Samhain Publishing. In the meantime, between creating new fiction and rewriting the stuff still on my shelves, my goal is to be the oldest living barista at my neighborhood Starbucks. I've been working there for almost four years and am the last of the original partners in that store. When I'm not doing that, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful husband and darling children.
Pet Peeves: Dishonesty, laziness, stupidity, rudeness.
Recent Revelation: Take care of yourself, your health, your body, your mind. Start now. Exercise! Eat a halfway healthy diet. Give up the really bad habits. After visiting my parents recently, I see how easy it is to lose physical strength as you age. So I've started working out (or my idea of working out at least) more often. Get up and move. Do something!
I never went to college, unless you count secretarial school, so I think if you have the opportunity, you should go. If I thought it would benefit me now, I'd go. Even if you don't end up working in the field of your degree, it's something no one can take away from you.
My biggest weakness: I am a hard-assed bitch. Just ask anyone who knows me. And I am disgustingly right about 99.9% of the time. Oh, and I'm super critical. But if everyone would just do things my way...
My biggest strength: Hmmm. Can't think of one.
