As our ancestors migrated west, running down the Himalayas, swimming the Mediterranean, sailing a raft on the North Sea, and hitch-hiking the Great Plains, they came across a lake. They turned and found themselves at the base of a great peak. Between this monster's shoulders and its bosom, they came to rest.
