About me:

I began my undergraduate studies at Southwest Texas State University and completed them at Eastern New Mexico University, where I graduated magna cum laude. I also received a Loan Star scholarship and was named an outstanding senior biology student. I completed my medical education, internship, and general surgery residency at Texas Tech University School of Medicine. I am board certified by the American Board of Surgery. I am affiliated with the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, Dallas County Medical Association, and American Bariatric Society. I am also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and completed a preceptorship sponsored by the American Society of Bariatric Surgery. I am an accredited surgeon under the Bariatric Center of Excellence. I am one of a select few weight loss surgeons to perform all bariatric procedures such as the LAP-BAND® or Realize adjustable band, Sleeve Gastrectomy, Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass (Roux-en-Y) and Revisions of previous weight loss procedures. My service holds privileges at several Dallas County hospitals including: Forest Park Medical Center, Doctors Hospital, Pinecreek Medical Center and Vista Hospital. I have performed nearly 5000 bariatric surgery procedures at my center in Dallas with great success.
