Heroes
I don't believe in setting someone up for a fall, as always happens with heroes. Everybody has faults, and we have to accept that. The only person who was perfect was Jesus, and he ended up with holes in his hands. Saying somebody is a hero is like forcing hubris on them. When we talk about people who inspire us however, I am willing to talk about that. Foremost, Patrick Wolf. A lyricist, and performer, and a true inspiration. Even if you don't like his music, it is undeniable that the lyrics have true meaning to them, and they aren't something that was thrown together in 5minutes (big girls, you are beautiful ... umbrella ella ella ...). The first and only time that I have ever seen Patrick Wolf perform was at Electric Gardens, and that will be a night I will never forget. He disregarded social norms, and unspoken rules about playing a gig. Pole dancing on the tent pole ... why not! I salute anyone who is willing to go out covered in glitter, and speak against what is happening. Also someone who, when criticised, won't go into a bitch fest, but counter with thought and a constructed argument. Perez Hilton anyone? The Ratcliffe Twins. Friends since year 7. Friends forever more. Two of the kindest and warmest people I have ever had the fortune to meet. Best of all I lost my gig virginity with them, which involved me pushing giant women out of the way. If I have ever been down they have made sure that they were there to pick me back up again. Even though we drifted apart this year, the friendship was still there, and I knew that nothing had really changed. yorky pork! Those friends thou hast, and their adoption tried, grapple them unto thy soul with hoops of steel. For helping me grasp the English language, Judith Hedley! Don't know what hubris means? Go to her! In all honesty, probably one of the best teachers I have ever had, and possibly in this country. Even though people may hate Shakespeare, come exam day you knew the entire play off by heart. She is a walking Shakespeare dictionary, accomplishment of epic proportions. Micha Taylor is the best person I know she is the love of my life.
I never fall where I want to, and my place is not clear, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I drink too much, it isn't good, it isn't clever, but I still do it. Is that the rebel side in me? I like to think I get on with everybody, but I know that isn't true, and I hate it when I know that people don't like me, but they have their reasons. I'm so so sick and tired of the monotony, but if it wasn't for the system, then my life would be dull. Though set backs seem to plague me, I am grateful. If it wasn't for them then I would not have a lot of the things that I hold close to my heart. Men have died from time to time, and worms have eaten them, but not for love. I appreciate words. If Shakespeare wrote his plays or not, who is to say, but the world would be a much duller place without them. People say that English is a dull language, and that languages like Italian are better, but this is just down to the fact they prefer the accent. English is one of the greatest and most complex languages, and when used properly is fantastic. Frailty, thy name is emotion? Over the last few years I have thought that my life would be better without emotion, a chance to escape from the pain, the sadness, the frustration. But then we would be without the greatest feeling of happiness. Nothing is better then when you have a smile on your face, and the smile is not false. So I try to live each day with a smile on my face.
And in this drought of truth and invention
Whoever shouts the loudest gets the most attention
So we pass the mic and they've got nothing to say except:
"Bow down, bow down, bow down to your god"
Then we hit the floor
And make ourselves an idol to bow before

Who I'd like to meet: I used to be a shy recluse, but now I like meeting new people, providing that I have had a drink, so really I would like to meet anybody, but are we talking famous people here? Well:
Mr. Penate, damn him for being ill!
Orlando Maccabees, we should have spoke to him earlier
Anton Du Bec, because he is wonderful
Dawn French, and not of the Sally Bowen kind, although she is damn awesome
Jack Savoretti because his voice makes me melt inside.
Eva Longeria, I would turn for her.
Evangeline Lilly, &hearts
Josh Holloway, swoon
Gemma Mck, my first year12 friend, would have been a hermit without her.
