I got into this business b/c I did not see a single company dedicated to just doing bar/bat mitzvahs and I did not see a company that was doing it right! Since this is such a specialized type of event it is important that your entertainers are not only talented but experienced at performing at these types of special celebrations. 99% of the parties M&M books are Bar or Bat Mitzvahs so we know what we are doing! We consider ourselves to be the kings of Bar & Bat Mitzvahs! There is no company like us in the world!

Now take that experience and passion and combine it with my partner who specializes in all the high-tech stuff. Now because these talents are 'In-House' we are able to do literally anything a client requests w/o having to outsource it so its all under one roof which means a better deal for you without the problems of dealing w/ a middle man! We play music videos for everything b/c our sound systems use DVD players (not CD Players) and our libraries are all 100% on DVD (not CD!). We get the hottest new music videos every month and we've been doing it this way since the company started aproximately 10 years ago so we have a DVD library that cannot be matched! We have DVD games, DVD animation, simulcasting, montages, video grand entrances, and so much more that we truly are the next generation VJ (video Jockey) Entertainment Company.

We own all the equipment you see on our website;
Videowalls, Plasma Walls, Video Screens, LCD Projectors, Intelligent Lighting, etc.... Most DJ companies do not own any of this type of equipment and they have to rent it. Some have photos or videos of equipment to try to make themselves seem more successful or capable but it is just an illusion. Thats why they charge so much more for the same thing if you want them to provide you with the equipment M&M has! To take things to this level and not price yourself out of the market you need to have a company that does these things themselves otherwise it is cost prohibitive. This is why you don't see any companies doing things as good as M&M...b/c they can't!!!!! All the established DJ Companies have been around for years and they already have their owners and those owners cannot do what the owners of M&M Entertainment can do! Most companies love to talk up a good game to try to keep you interested in them, but in reality they can't do half the things we do and if they are forced to do it they work from a rolodex and hire someone more capable like M&M to do it for them! This is why some companies charge so much more money for the same service...because they are passing their costs on to you!

As an owner I have always been concerned about everything we provide and how we can make it better EVERY YEAR! Every party season since M&M began we have purchased new costumes to give our entertainers a different look as well as the latest equipment to put us at the cutting edge of technology. I am an owner who wants to have fun and I love having new things to get excited about that I can offer you! I'm more concerned about our performance than our profit! I know this is not the case for most DJ Companies and it is so obvious to anyone with a trained eye who knows what to look for! Most DJ companies have the same exact costumes & equipment they had 10 years ago...ask yourself why? Hint: When a bird flies over the competition it goes cheap cheap. I guess when they say they're the best they don't really mean it or at the very least they are not comparing themselves with M&M!!!
Aren't you tired of seeing the exact same party favors at every party. How much fun is it for your kids to get ANOTHER pair of neon rubber sun glasses? Almost every DJ company gives them out because they are cheap, but if any of your guests have been to more than a few of these parties they have enough glasses to open a Dollar store! M&M knows this. We are a company that pays attention to these details while most don't. I didn't get into this business to be "another dj company", I got into this business to be the best and show the companies how it is supposed to be done and force them to step it up or step out!
When a company uses the same equipment, the same costumes, and the same dull party favors year after year it is very boring and cookie-cutter to not only your party guests, but to the entertainers working the party, and if the entertainers are bored they will definitely not perform up to their potential! We want our entertainers to be as excited as your guests.

For all you other DJ companies reading this (and I know you are) I welcome you to keep coming to our website to try to better yourself or company, but you will always be playing catch up b/c as James Brown said, "I can teach you everything you know, but I can't teach you everything I know."

M&M has an allstar team of some of the best talent out there from different companies, we don't just train, we recruit. "We take care of our staff so they take care of you!" M&M owns its own Warehouse/Office while most DJ companiies rent or lease.
M&M has the best equipment of any DJ company that I have ever seen, but you have to have equally great staff to be the best otherwise it is like having a ferrari without an engine...it looks great, but it wont perform great. We understand this and make sure that our staff as well as our equipment is second to none.

How I got started:
I was Bar Mitzvahed when I was 13 at Temple Torah in Bucks County, Pa. Lucky for my parents I had no idea they had these kinds of parties $$$. I was a member of AZA and BBYO and went to a lot of the jewish dances and events. When I was 14 I became an avid roller skater in philadelphia. I was one those kids hockey stopping all over the place and flying past you with a few other people in tight formation doing the shuffle. We use to do all kinds of free style tricks! It was a lot of fun. When I was 17 I started going to the clubs and I remember me and my friend joel silver were at a club argueing about who was the worst dancer in the club...him or me.(true story). I noticed a crowd making a circle around a couple people in the middle of the dancefloor and I went over to check it out. It was a couple guys doing all kinds of dance moves & tricks, they were amazing! I loved how entertained everyone was watching them. I wanted to give people the same feeling of entertainment they gave me when I watched them. I started frequenting the club more often and got to know some of those dancers (johnny holmes & J.J. whats up!). I started to learn some of the dance moves and once I learned my first move "the kid-n-play kick step"(aka the charleston) something clicked in me and I started picking up dance moves left & right and I really excelled at it. After that I lived for dancing and HOUSE music. I went out to the clubs every night I could.

I later danced on two television shows 1. Dance Party USA and 2. CLUB MTV. I went to college for my first two years in connecticut studying marine biology & oceanography and I danced for a rap group there called MVP (Most Valuable Poets) and did most of their choreography. I also worked with some of the other dancers at a few night clubs doing some choreographed routines and club openings. It was a lot of fun, but a lot of work.

Two years later I moved down to florida for 1. mechanical engineering at Florida State University, but then transferred to FAU for Ocean Engineering. To pay for my education I was primarily a waiter at the fancy restaurants and resorts like the Boca raton resort and Turnberry Isle. When I first found out that I could actually get paid to dance and entertain with guests at parties I couldn't believe it! I thought it was some kind of joke and I thought my friends were teasing me. That was it for waitering!

I worked for a few small dj companies as an entertainer and then started working for Hart to Hart and finally found a home. I liked the way they ran their parties and they had some very talented people working for them like Matt Levy, Fast Eddy, Jive, Steve Marcus, Nikko, Evan Mensch, Ozzy, Jazz and a few others. I was like a sponge soaking up everything I came in contact with. It is only b/c I worked with such a talented group of people that I learned so much about entertaining people and running parties. We would throw some amazing events but the one thing that always bothered me and made me feel like the company was small time was the typical carpeted 'DJ Booths' that everyone used. It was very tacky and unprofessional looking and I wanted to throw great parties but w/ a more sophisticated, high-tech look that would make the parties even better! I was a dancer at Hart to Hart (H2H)and after about two years I became an Emcee(Party Host). When Hart to Hart in florida was going out of business and merging with Total Entertainment I took over running H2H's office for its last 6 months. The pay wasn't great but I was in it for the experience since I wanted to know as much about the business as I could learn before venturing out on my own.
After a few more years of working with Total Entertainment I patiently kept an eye out for someone more capable than anyone else in the Industry I had come across so I could have a partner that would give my company the capabilities to do things the other companies couldn't! I understoof it was important to have an advantage over the competition because otherwise it would be much more difficult to get a business started in an already saturated marketplace. I wanted to be able to do new things that other dj companies hadn't yet done whther it was b/c they lacked the creativity or b/c they lacked the capability. I had the vision, now I needed the person that could make my vision a reality so I could materialize all my ideas and start using them on my parties. I didn't want to become just another dj company doing the same thing as everyone else b/c you cant last if thats what you do. Many companies out there are only on the map b/c of a particular MC that works for them and if they lose that MC the company is finished! We don't have problems like that.
I met my future partner when I worked with him on a party in Naples, Fl.. My current DJ, Anthony Crupi, was unable to work on a particular weekend and he got a replacement DJ that he said was "over qualified" to cover for him. During the drive over to Naples I spoke with this person at length and it seemed like I finally met someone that was capable of doing more than merely DJing. I went off on my own with my new partner and started M&M Entertainment and haven't looked back since. I came up with the name M&M Entertainment b/c I knew of the M&M twins in New York and I really liked the sound of the name and most importantly it was a name that ppl wouldn't forget. M&M Entertainment stands for Music & Multimedia. I think I am one of the only people in this industry who truly loves what he does and thats why I will never get burnt out like so many other owners/entertainers in this industry have.
