關於我:
Kato has one aim in DJing – to turn the party out. This kid lives to
make you jump, holler and generally lose your shit. But don't expect
the same party anthems you've heard a million times before, Kato has
searched the globe to find the wildest audio fireworks available from
Brazil's Baile Funk to Baltimore's club bangers, French electro to
Miami booty bass, NY disco to Dirty south crunk, Shiny pop to grimey
London fidget house – your dude's got it all. Kato's style is
indicative of a new wave of DJ's who flip the bird to purism and
scenes, instead concentrating on the music they love and this shows in
his ridiculously fun, energetic, eclectic, imaginative sets.
Keeping one step ahead of the game has paid off for Kato earning him
the vote of Best Local DJ in Sydney Dance Magazine 3D World plus
residencies at some of Australia's most happening parties including
Bandits and Wham plus festival sets at Parklife, V Festival, Sydney
Festival, Splendor In The Grass, Future Music, Laneway Festival,
Global Gathering, Playground Weekender and Groovin' The Moo and a
myriad of supports for artists including Daft Punk, M.I.A, Lady
Sovereign, Spank Rock, Diplo, Switch, Sinden, Edu K, Uffie, Justice,
The Klaxons, MSTRKRFT, DJ Craze, Chromeo, Radioclit, Mylo, Cool Kids,
Drop The Lime / Curses!, Dave Nada, DJ Klever, South Rakkas Crew,
Kissy Sellout, Princess Superstar, The Presets, 2 Many DJ's, Hot Chip,
Treasure Fingers, DJ Ayres, Dre Skull, Steve Aoki, Yuksek, Jesse Rose,
Low Budget, Girl Talk, Digitalism, !!!, Boys Noize, Midnight
Juggernauts, Riton, Bob Sinclar, Freeform Five, Ratatat, Matt & Kim,
Cut Copy, Death Cab For Cutie, Krafty Kuts, The Black Keys, Stanton
Warriors, Sneaky Sound System, Chicks On Speed and many more.
Recently Kato has begun moving into the remix / production realm and
the results are blazing with his first remix of Soft Tigers "Mr Ice
Cream" [In collaboration with Ro Sham Bo's Spruce Lee] released now on
Bang Gang 12 Inches and signed to the new Purple Sneakers Indie
Mixtape and a brand new remix for US artist Walter Meego's tune
"Girls" which was just licenced for the new One Love CD. He has also
collaborated with the Knife Machine on a killer remix of Muscles'
future classic 'Ice Cream' and his blends and exclusive edits add a
unique edge to his already amazing DJ sets.
Kato also finds time to join Anna Lunoe every Thursday for their
Sunset show on Fbi Radio with over 40,000 listeners tuning in every
week, check it out Thursday's 8pm on 94.5fm or listen online at
www.fbi.org.au
When not doing all of this Kato is also involved in promoting parties
and touring bringing cutting edge artists like South Rakkas Crew, Cool
Kids and Dre Skull to Sydney as well as co-promoting Bandits at
Phoenix Bar, WTF? at Oxford Art Factory and the legendary Wamp Wamp
parties.
