8pm - 9pm Trad music session - Bring an instrument and join in BEGINNERS WELCOME
9pm - closing - Singers and musicians
Everyone welcome. trad/contemporary folk, blues, original material, covers - anything goes as long as it's acoustic as there's no p.a. (background noise isn't a problem)
We use the singaround format - people perform one song/tune at a time from where they are sat. You usually get about 3 songs / tunes in, unless it's a guest night (check listings) when we try to get round everyone.
Mailing list - subscribe to our blog or send and email to barnsleyfolk@sandlizard.f9.co.uk to get regular updates on guests etc
Booking Policy - Please note we only put on paid guests on average about every 6 weeks - that's all we can afford. These tend to be people we already know of, or who have already come to the Shaw as a floor performer, which you are very welcome to do. Sorry, but we just don't have the resources to reply to everyone that asks us for a booking via myspace/email!
