About Barny Carter

Who I am and what I do

I am musician in my spare time. I was born in Oxford but have lived in Bristol most of my life. I live and breath music.

I completed my first EP 'Perfect Circle' in June of last year and this went on to become a full length album titled 'These Lights' which was released for download.

I am also part of a new electronic project named Avenue. We are currently finishing the recording for our first EP with a release date likely to be nearer the spring/summer time.

When away from my electronic music I play guitar in a band called Hunting Bears - we have finished recording our first EP and are currently working on new material and performing regularly around Bristol.

a cup of tea	Feb 17 2009 4:32 PM finally managed to listen to avenue, i've got a stop autoplay plugin (helps for having loadsa myspace/youtube tabs open at once - i'd recommend it) but the player wouldn't load when i clicked for it to play, disabling the plugin worked, good tune, very massive attack ish i thought. look forward to hearing more tunes, let us know when there's any up. i'm probably an amnesiac person.. though i feel sad for all the other albums if i say that! spinning plates is prob my fave radiohead tune of all though, and pyramid song too, so prob have to be amnesiac... we also slowed down brown paper bag to 33, it was like dubstep ish, endless fun
a cup of tea	Feb 17 2009 4:11 PM cheers man, i am citizen insane is one of my favourite b-sides, narrowly beaten by kinetic... we've got the hail to the thief singles on vinyl and have been playing i am citizen insane at 33, it sounds amazing, you could try slowing it down in audacity to get the idea (if you can be arsed) but yeh it's wicked. keep us updated with your stuff anyway
