About me:
I am an indie music enthusiast who wants the world to know how great indie music can be. Whether you're sitting alone with a guitar playing originals on YouTube or slugging it out gigging to get your name out, you're my kind of people. The eyes of the world will be on Vancouver in 2010. Let's get their ears here first, otherwise the Olympics will just be one big corporate circle jerk (in the music as well...heh). Music journalism has degraded to the point of merely updating the social registry with the latest thing someone has done, not played. I'm not here to write about celebrity. I want to write about the music I love and those who love to play it.
"ars longa, vita brevis"
Who I'd like to meet: Lester Bangs and Hunter S. Thompson over a drink and a game of cards and/or someone who can explain to me in proper English why the media are so driven to put Britney Spears in her grave (w/ film at 11!).
I'm all about Indie too so we have this in common. I just take myself and journey out to venues, take photos and try to give the indie bands what they so deserve, a lot of love from me. I wish everyone would do this.
I'll be doing my own podcast show in the coming months, I'm very excited about it. Congratulations on starting yours!
It looks like you have definitely travelled to Toronto, if you come this way again, let me know.
Have a great week, keep in touch.
