KRISTINA BAUCH (Violin, vocals, piano) Kristina has loved both dancing and playing violin since she was three years old. She is familiar with many forms of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, and flamenco. Kristina has also worked as a choreographer for Winnipeg's "Little Opera Company" and several high school musicals. In the year 2000, she won a position with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, where she stayed for two years before going back to school to study at the Institute of Chamber Music in Milwaukee under the direction of Myron Kartman. Since graduating in May of 2004, Kristina has performed in Calgary in "Gypsies, Jocks and Divas," Rainbow Stage's "Beauty and the Beast," Winnipeg Symphony's New Music Festival, and with Rod Stewart.
SARAH BENNETT (Violin, vocals) 21 year old violinist, Sarah Bennett, a native of Nashville, Tennessee, is pursuing her bachelors degree in violin performance at the New England Conservatory of Music where she studies with the head of the String and Chamber music departments, Lucy Chapman. Sarah has been studying violin since the age of 7 and has won numerous competitions such as the Outstanding Young Artist’s Concerto Competition, Curb Youth Symphony Concerto Competition, Namta Young Artist’s Competition, and the Mtna Competition. Sarah was selected as a performer for the Blair Student Showcase at Vanderbilt University and has held principal positions in several orchestras such as the New England Conservatory Symphony and Sinfonietta, Las Vegas Music Festival Chamber Orchestra, Boston University Tanglewood Institute Orchestra, Vanderbilt University Symphony Orchestra, and the Curb Youth Symphony. Sarah performed the Lalo Symphonie Espagnole with orchestra at the age of 14 followed by the Saint Saens violin concerto No. 3 at the age of 16. Sarah was the concertmistress of the MetroWest Symphony Orchestra, a member of the Hunstville Symphony Orchestra and has played with the Lyrica Boston Chamber Orchestra. She has been coached by and performed in master classes with many renowned artists such as Joseph Silverstein, Ron Copes, Joel Krosnick, Donald Weilerstein, Paul Katz, Robert Lipsett, Borromeo String Quartet, and the Cavani String Quartet. Sarah’s major teachers are Connie Heard (1998-2005) and Lucy Chapman (2005-2007).
CHARLES BULLOUGH (Drumset) His journey with Barrage started in 2000 after he graduated from the Music program at Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton, Alberta. After taking a hiatus in 2003 to live in Montreal for a year, Charles is happy to be back performing with the group and has learned more about the violin than he could have ever imagined! Some of his greatest influences include Tony Williams, John Bonham, and Danny Carey.
TIM HARLEY (Bass, vocals) Tim has been playing bass for 10 years, and has played with Barrage for the last 4 of those years. Tim has participated in studio session work in and outside of Barrage. His latest endeavors include playing on former Barrage guitarist Aaron Young's latest self-titled jazz album, (spazzjazz.com) as well as former Barrage fiddler Denis Dufresne's new age bluegrass album (denisdufres-ne.com). Tim has also played in many groups including a punk rock band called "Belvedere" and also studied jazz at Mount Royal College in Calgary. Tim looks forward to all of life's continuing twists and turns and the beautiful pursuit of the groove.
ANNETTE HOMANN (Violin, Vocals) Annette Homann grew up in Germany where she also got her Diploma for violin teaching. She came to New York in 2005 where she received her Masters Degree in violin performance at Manhattan School of Music. Before joining Barrage in 2008 she was working as a teacher in New York as well as performing regularly at Carnegie Hall and other prestigious venues. Her interest in different styles of music and the love for performing in a non-traditional way brought her together with Barrage. She wishes to project and share her enthusiasm for music, dance and singing as much as possible!
HIDAYAT HONARI (Lead guitar, vocals) He is a graduate of the Jazz Studies program at Capilano College in Vancouver, British Columbia. He has been active in the World Music scene mainly performing originally composed Persian, Arabic and Indian fusion music on the Tar, an Iranian lute.
JASON HURWITZ (Violin, Octave Violin, Vocals). Jason, from Williamsport, Pennsylvania, realized that he wanted to play the violin at age 3 after seeing Itzhak Perlman play for Oscar the Grouch on Sesame Street; at age 5, he started in the local Suzuki program. Jason graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in Music Education, where he was president of the Beta Tau chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. For the past two summers, Jason performed at Hershey Park in the bluegrass/country band, Sonic Roots. Five years ago, Jason was watching Barrage from the audience; now, he is living his dream as a Barrage violinist.
TAYLOR MORRIS(Violin, Vocals). An Arizona native, violinist Taylor Morris graduated from Barrett, the Honors College, at Arizona State University. Obtaining a degree in Violin Performance with minors in Biology and Political Science, he studied violin with Dr. Katie McLin and was also a four-year member of the Symphony and Chamber Orchestras. Taylor has performed in master classes for Peter Zazofsky, Serena Canin, and Thomas Landschoot, as well as the Juilliard, St. Lawrence, and Brentano String Quartets. First exposed to fiddling in seventh grade while in the Metropolitan Youth Symphony, Taylor quickly found himself competing in state-wide fiddling competitions where he twice received the "Audience's Favorite Fiddler" award. Barrage became an influence around the same time, particularly because it combined Taylor's interests in violin, singing and theatre. After following Barrage for the ensuing years, Taylor is excited to have the opportunity to perform with the group!

ok so im like the biggest fan u will ever have!! i have been listening to barrage since i first started playing the viola 7 yrs ago u guys have been an inspiration i been to one of ur concerts and i love u guys so much that i envy u lol i want to be able to play like u guys one day!! i am real upset that u wont be makin ur way to denver :-(
