Barricades Rise are a two piece acoustic duo hailing from Nuneaton, Warwickshire that formed in December 2007. Comparisons have been to the likes of Turin Brakes, Starsailor, Puressence and Elbow. Jonathan’s voice rips through each track with a passion and power that is rarely heard with today’s front men whilst Michaels guitar playing is the perfect match, and with over ten years of playing together they compliment each other flawlessly. In early 2009 they incorporated a new member, Steve Faulkner for live percussion duties, adding further dynamics to an already flawless live set.
The guys are releasing their debut album 'You and Your Adored' on the 21st August.
What is most appealing though is their energetic, harmonious and exciting live act which seems to be the missing link from most acoustic acts, these boys are truly a must see for any self respecting music fan.
