ALL SHADOWS FADE; the solo/single-member band project of progressive rock/metal musician Ryan Mark. The history of this multi-instrumentalist/vocalist/composer is apparent in the music it has helped create.
Growing up in Cincinnati, OH, Ryan's obsession with music began while playing the cello and viola at the age of nine. After spending years studying classical & jazz, and receiving 2 prestigious jazz awards and a degree in music, Ryan changed stylistic directions; getting involved with progressive rock and fusion bands. Soon, his own music took on a hard rock/alternative/metal edge.
After years of live and studio gigs (and relocating to Nashville), work began on a project that would display an amalgumation of progressive rock, ambient textures, and melodic, modern metal. From a lyrical standpoint, stories of real-life personal battles are common themes, as well as faith-inspired determination to fight on. ALL SHADOWS FADE: EPIPHANY, the self-recorded/self-produced debut album, which has been in the works for the past two years, should be finished and available in 2009. The follow-up album, CONSPIRACY, is already in the works. Stay tuned for details....
Hope your summer calms down some. Mine's been crazy, too, but it's been nice to have a break from school. I almost called you last week, and I should have... we drove through Nashville twice to spend a week in O-town. We stopped at Opryland Mills to have lunch at Rainforest Cafe, and I should have made plans to meet you instead! Did you get to see Josh while Puppies were there???
