Barry Boggs started doing standup comedy 9 years ago at the age of 22 in Birmingham, Alabama. He watched Emo Phillips perform at the Comedy Club Stardome and decided to give his material a try during an open mic night. The rest as they say is history... a history only about 5 people know exists.
When he moved to Memphis, TN 2 years later he was forced to quit standup because there were no viable clubs in the area and he was too lazy to try other venues; however, if you ask him how long he’s been doing standup he’ll tell you 10 years. Barry turned his attention to writing screenplays and collecting rejection letters from submitting his scripts to various studios, production companies, actors and relatives.
Now he believes when answering the question, "So what do you do?" with "standup comedy" he’ll have a slightly better chance of getting laid than by using the current answer of "website designer".

Thank you, sir. I'm doing Round 2 on May 9. And I think I'm gonna use that song, and save my only other song for the finals. Have you heard my other one? It's about my dead friend, but it's funnier than that description sounds.
I always just hear "Lemme kill your wife." But I think "lemme rape your grandma" is the most logical next step.
