About me:
Unprofessional Composer, Performer, Writer and Activist Barry Drogin was once called
"an authority on music theatre" by 21st Century Music. His music was called "terrific" by Stephen Sondheim. None of that really matters now. As a composer,
he has written small scale music-theatre pieces and
operas, ballet and dance-theatre works, cabaret songs
and chamber music. As a performer,
he was the annual performer of the NewOp/NonOp theme
song, "NewOp Doo Wop," and performed many of his a
cappella music-theatre works internationally, and his
songs live on the radio. As a writer, he was a columnist for New Music Connoisseur magazine and
published several free HTML books. As a new music advocate, Barry maintained the NewOp/NonOp website, moderated the C-Opera listserv, and sponsored "The Lullaby Project." Barry is still a member of ASCAP; his final ASCAPlu$ award was received in January of 2009.

Who I'd like to meet:
I shut down my music business in 2008 and became an unprofessional musician. I'm not really interested in meeting anyone, except that my very close friend Baruch is looking for a nice Modern Orthodox Jewish
woman over the age of 45 who lives on the island of
Manhattan.
