You may know Barry Louis Polisar as the songwriter and performing artist who sings his hit song All I Want is You in the opening credits of the film Juno. The soundtrack to that film has sold over a million copies and Barry's song has been heard all over the world. What you may not know is that Barry is an author and poet and he wrote and recorded that song in 1977.
Barry has written numerous children's books, poems and stories. He has been described as a "clown, poet, minstrel and the best kind of hero: outrageous and irreverent, all under the license of being irrepressibly funny."

The Tribute Album of my songs is almost complete and I have posted many of the songs on my web site already. Aaron Cohen of the Radioactive Chicken Heads is getting the last songs together for this project of my songs that he is putting together. I've heard so many great songs that have been submitted so far and am excited to hear the new ones.
Many of the song covers are from musicians who had my albums as kids and some are from bands who only recently discovered me after JUNO.
You can find the link from the What's New Section on my website.
Hi Barry, I hope everything is fine with you. You can now listen to an English version of my tune "Work on Progress". So now, you have a chance to understand something on my page ... I'm translating your songs in French, so I'm translating mine in English ... That's normal ... All the best,

I just love the simplicity of your songs. They get stuck in my head!! My husband wants to learn the words to all I want is you and play the guitar too...I have been wanting him to sing and play for me so long, and now FINALLY he will!! Thanks!
I can't count how many times I checked out "I Eat Kids" and "My Brother Thinks He's a Banana" from the library. It's wonderful to share your music with my kids, now.
