I am a self-taught artist and have enjoyed producing
and selling my paintings for more than 30 years now. Since I spent most
of my childhood along the Gulf Coast, most of my early work was either
seascapes or had a nautical theme. When I moved further inland I began
painting landscapes and other subjects.
I produce work in all mediums, but prefer pencil,
watercolor and acrylics. I especially love the transparency of watercolor
and the moods that can be captured with that medium. Most of my pencil
drawings are done in a realistic style and I use the technique often for
unique portraits, animal drawings and portraits and other subjects when
I want the subject recognized.
Although my paintings are impressionistic, they
are usually based upon people, places, or things that I have known. I
love to entertain with my art and if possible evoke a mood or bring back
memories of pleasant times.
I belong to a number of on-line and real world
art groups. Among them are: The National Watercolor Society, Mississippi
Watercolor Society, Artist Network of North Mississippi, Inc., as well
as the Ebay Groups: Original Small Works of Art (OSWOA), Art Card Editions
& Originals (ACEO), Artist Who Love Art, Watercolors Wet and Wild,
and others.
Through the years I have shown my art in a number
of venues and my artwork has been purchased and collected throughout the
United States and thanks to the internet now the world. I love for people
who enjoy my work to own it and as you will see when you browse my gallery,
I try to keep my prices reasonable. My original works are offered at prices
hundreds of dollars less than gallery prices for comparable work.
I hope you enjoy your visit to this site. I enjoy
the opportunity to meet and communicate with new people, as well as old
friends, so please feel free to drop me an email.
