Thank you for the LOVE photo comment. I watch it every day, sometimes multiple times to nourish my soul. It is my sleep aid. I eagerly await the release of the newest Swink film. Can it possibly top LOVE? I LOVE LOVE!!!!
i think we are lucky to live these lives we lead. to be a part of the cultural, political and scientific conversation of our time, at and on any level; and be able to work one's way through life basically supporting oneself through their art. amazing! frustrating sometimes? yes. unfair sometimes...what isn't? not a religious person, but know we are blessed. that is why it is imperative that we speak up when we do see injustice. it is our responsibility for being so blessed. - joey alkes of dj monkey
I have viewed LOVE by Barry Swink multiple times. The film is a classic. Set to lazy, sleepy music on a background of foggy lust, slippery kisses, spiderlike gropes, steaming cigarette butts and 80's electric hair do's, LOVE covers all that true love affairs possess. Each second makes you pant for more and wondering what in Dog's name the outakes are like. No person can possibly be whole without viewing it.
Brooklyn Bowl is not just a bowling alley. It is a major new rock venue primed for face-meltage. Amazing lights, huge stage, sweet video, food by Blue Ribbon. Oh, and bowling!
Even though tix are only FIVE BUCKS ... It's a good idea to get them in advance or get there early as this show is fully expected to be a sellout!
