Howdy all ... I'm Barry Walsh living in Wraxall, Somerset, not too far from Bristol. Like many of the other musicians I meet on my travels around the Open Mic Music venues around Bristol I've got a new lease of life from performing in front of the public once again, and meeting such friendly people along the way.

I'm busy recording an album of my own songs called "Carols in the Water" and all proceeds will go to the charity Child Safe. When working the Open Mic circuit I only perform the thirteen songs from the album. I've managed to put a couple of those songs on my music-player, and others will be added later.
I've been writing songs for my Publisher since 1990 and have written many songs in that time, Colin Blunstone (of the Zombies and "I don't believe in Miracles" fame) took one of my tunes called "Pieces" and Ruby Turner had a Top 100 hit in 2004 with "Pokeball" featuring the Children of Wraxall School and Mikey Dread. Sir Bob Geldoff is considering "Throwing Stones" at the moment. His drummer loves the song, but we have to wait for "The Man's" decision...
In the 1970's I was known as Barry St.John, with The Hatchet, The Rummer, The Mauretania and The Foster Rooms being places where I was resident Singer/ Guitarist.
In December 2007 I went "Speed Dating" and met our "Car", she's FAB!! and she's got me back out on the road again for the first time in 20 years and I'm enjoying singing my own songs instead of recording others doing them...
