Track Day Road Racing, Skateboarding as of late since design-engine got a 6' half pipe next door 6 thousand sq foot loft.
Motorcycles - world travel (for trade shows) because I hate vacations and sightseeing! God shoot the tourist! - Design and engineering - 2$ pints at Estelle’s on Tuesday night and Breakfast in other major cities besides Chicago. Moto Restaurant and Otom Lounge in Chicago. Drinks at Moto and Otom are out of this world. Other times you will find me working at a Chicago cafe like The Lovely Cafe on Milwaukee Ave in the afternoons often till very late or Sip Cafe on Grand in the mornings. (if I'm in Chicago) Lately I can be found working evenings at Moonshine.
I raced Motocross growing up so that defined me as a bit outgoing. “if you don’t fall your not going fast enough. I raced the A class until the age of 18.
I often think of Chicago as too conservative. See… I grew up in the southern part of the United States with a Dad that loved me and extreme sports. I have a motocross track set up in the City called “contractor parking’ It is gravel and the bums throw rocks at me because I make too much noise. I have no real heart for the homeless because of these rock throwing incidents. That’s my dirt track not their home!
I like throwing water out the sixth floor window onto neighbors. And if I could direct those bottle rockets better I would enjoy trying to nail the open windows across from the Chicago Design-engine.com office. Since we have a half pipe the skate boarding has been full on. It is a little cold in our secondary loft party house so skate boarding is not high priority.
My main interest is helping people. The best way for me to do that is by helping degreed engineers or industrial designers to communicate in three dimensions by learning Pro/ENGINEER or sometimes called proe. We also teach Maya and Alias Studio. For more on alias maya, or proe training
Clockwork Orange - Henry and June in French - 'Once Upon a Time in the West' By Sergio Loene - Until the End of the World (1991) - Romeo + Juliet (1996) - Azumi (2003)w/ director Ryuhei Kitamura
Azumi who in this image has just killed 300 army men; Alan Rudolph's film Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle (1994), Blade Runner but thats the classic sci-fi
I am too busy with the life of Bart: a movie in my head.
Besides I occupy my time making models and renders using Pro/ENGINEER and Maya.... it much better fun that movies.
Television
seldom do I watch a boob tube and if I do I download star trek off the internet. Modern Marvels on the History Channel is cool.
I like Wikipedia better than TV.
Books
Cradle to Cradle by,William McDonough North Point Press
I like to read really long instruction manuals on Maya for Windows and Macintosh V8 .... I read "Flow - The Psychology of Optimal Experience" by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
Rollen Brejcha my Dad... He raced Motocross in the sixties. He taught me how to paint my first motorcycle trailer and shoot the head out of a Ben Franklin with a bow and arrow. I taught him how to sky dive and use Pro/ENGINEER. He taught me how to split the case on a dirt bike and to shoot a gun and to race motorcycles. He hates it when I ride wheelies but I can't help it.
I often ride wheelies for 2 hrs at a time down Randolph, Green Street, Peoria to relieve stress. Neighbors can go to the suburbs if they complain or hell. Randolph and green is where the deepLABS and design engine office is. Maybe I am just a little board with life or I need a little more stimulation.
Motorcycles are a big part of breaking the boring for me. I did race the expert class in Motorcross growing up... So I tend to be quite a bit more aggressive than other track time riders... Track Days help me set a faster pace... pun intended. I try to out brake the others and sometimes that messes me up for the turn. Now I learned how to commit to the turn no matter how fast I come into her. The image below is from my third track day ever. I am on eight track days now and I am told my lap times at Black Hawk Farms are not that far off the pros laptimes. I do learn fast and I know I can go so much faster. I have a lot to learn. So my goal is to make up those seconds before this time next year.

Another Halloween Party at the Design engine loft Friday the 31st 2010!
People as passionate as I am and girls that are on the tough side. I like them soft too but not too soft. I like girls who don't mind a bruises and a little blood sometimes. I fell in love with an Olympic snow skier once. She was fast. Problem was everyone loved her and ... well you know.
I love the rain as when I was young racing motocross I would always win in the rain and mud. I did crash at 120 mph last summer at Road America in the Rain.... But I still love the rain.
