I'm a HUGE baseball fan. I travel to a game every Tuesday in the summer (60 total in 2008...38 major league and 22 minor league). I've been to 38 different major league baseball stadiums, including all 30 current ones. I love to travel. 48 states and counting... Coffee shops. Lotsa movies (especially in the winter...I hate the cold).

HUGE Elton John fan (I'm straight, really), anything 80's, Billy Joel, Queen, Jim Croce, Hall & Oates, Gin Blossoms, Counting Crows, Styx, Eagles, Ray Charles, Chicago, Weird Al Yankovic (got every CD), Buddy Holly, Dan Bern, Bruce Springsteen,Colin Hay (ex-Men at Work singer), many others, but these are my favorites. I noticed recently that I've been to about 25 concerts and the headline singer/band has never been under the age of 40.

Shawshank Redemption and Stand by Me are my 2 all-time favorites. Quantum Leap (it's the only series that I know I've seen EVERY episode)

Don’t mess too much with your hair, or by the time you're 40, it will look 85.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it.
Advice is a form of nostalgia,
dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off,
painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it’s worth.
But trust me on the sunscreen
I'm a die-hard baseball nut. I love travelling. I'm trying to see every inch of the U.S. before I die. My main goal on this site is the make at least one person laugh every day (and have a few laughs myself). This is a previous blog, but it pretty much sums me up.....
I like...going to baseball games...walking in the woods...driving on roads I've never been .....being kissed on the neck...rooting for the underdog...watching Krispy Kreme doughnuts being made...singing Jim Croce tunes out loud as I drive...the smells of freshly cut grass and campfires...holding hands...sunsets...driving 20 minutes out of my way when I go to Pittsburgh, just so I can come into the city via the Fort Pitt Bridge...Primanti Brothers sandwiches...finding little unknown coffee shops...ice cold Coca-Cola in a glass bottle...the small of a woman's back...hugs...the feel of a hot shower jet on the back of my head...looking at the stars...the Red Stripe beer commercial featuring the "ugly man"...Clint Eastwood flix...waterslides (but only the ones you ride on a raft)...that my son is not yet embarassed to me seen with me...looking at random people...the St. Louis Arch...feeding the stray cats by the Mansfield Dam...Fajita Rita's in Tulsa...Jackie Robinson and all that he has meant to baseball and our society...reading the sports section, even when I already know all the scores...Tony Kornheiser on XM Radio...running in the rain on a warm day...vacationing with my parents (still)...the feel of a woman's skin...royal blue...the Pacific Coast highway...the town of Tortilla Flat, Arizona (population 6)...riding really fast over speed bumps in rental cars...horseback riding on South Padre Island...Hot Springs, Arkansas...laughing...blueberries...hitting the snooze button just one more time...the ferris wheel at Navy Pier...feeding ducks...watching "Stand By Me" at least once every year...playing catch with my son...zoos...making people laugh...returning home from vacation and sleeping in my own bed...searching for the perfect reuben...the smell of hot dogs at Wrigley Field...windows down instead of AC (whenever possible)...Guinness on tap...women who don't need to wear lots of make-up...candles...playing fetch at eye-level with my weiner dog...wooden baseball bats...watching people try to parallel park...planning the next road trip...Opening Day...Lakeshore Drive on Windy Days...juicy pear flavored jelly belly jelly beans...Geico commercials...playing catch in Central Park (thanks Kate)...Cyanide and Happiness...doing the Cryptoquote in the daily newspaper...Hole-in-the-wall bars named "Bar" or "Tavern" (that's where the best food is at)...2-hour phone calls in the middle of the night...beer, really good beer...watching batting practice (especially when I catch a ball)...

That was one of my favorite moments in the game, he was like "I caught it, whatever." My least favorite moment in the game was when it took 5 umpires to figure out a double play. At least they eventually got it right.
