Omdat ik de band nu opstart ben ik nog op zoek naar een paar muzikanten. Dus als je in de omgeving van Antwerpen woont en je wil dit soort muziek spelen (en repeteren in Antwerpen), mail me. Repetities zullen starten vanaf half oktober. We hebben al wel een fantastische zanger, en compleet geschift ;o) (maar die heeft deze demo niet ingezongen, dat heb ik zelf gedaan, dus het kan alleen maar véél beter worden).
Dus als je de spirit van Zappa wil, maar dan met eigen muziek, stuur maar een mailtje.

Bart Wax and the motherless monkeys is a project that starts with Bart Wax. A stand up comedian with a lot of comedy experience (and overweight) under his belt.
Bart wants to make a crossover between comedy and rock. And that brings us quite close to Frank Zappa. Close, but not too close. The band is looking for the spirit, the goofyness and the intelligence of Zappa, but not to be a simple copy. Making their own songs, their own weird music and the comedy interventions takes them to a new level in todays music bussiness. If there is still such a thing as bussiness. But who gives a fuck about that.
It's all about the show, not about the money. So therefore, Bart Wax and the motherless monkeys are trying to bring you a liveshow you have never witnessed. And maybe never will...ever again.... well, nevermind.
