Though he started his sax career as a jazz player, it was modern music and the rebelliousness of punk that caught his attention as an artist. Also more interested in contemporary song structure rather than pure improvisation, Kenny drifted away from the jazz scene to explore other musical avenues. Being a guitar player, singer, songwriter, bass player, and engineer/producer has also played a part in Kenny's diverse musical interests, and more importantly, has given Kenny insights into many genres of music and performance that other musicians just don't have. His passion for music and recording has also provided him with a knowledge of studio and performance techniques that make him a valuable asset to the vast array of people he has worked with.
