The Basement is now running free open access sessions again.
These sessions are for young people at all levels of music interest and experience. There are two areas:
Live music – with drum kit, bass, electric or acoustic guitars, keyboard and mics; Urban music – with music tech, DJing and MCing.
There are 3x 40 min slots in each area every session.
Each area is run by a tutor who will talk to you about what you want to do - and help you do it.
There are also youth workers who can help you get info and advice on anything you need to know about and are generally up for a chat. They can also help you get certificates such as National Youth Achievement Awards or Arts Awards – either for the music you make or for other projects.
Call the Basement (0117) 934 9013 for more info – or just turn up.
We’re at the Unicorns, Colston Street (next to Colston Hall), on Tues and Thurs eves, 7.30-10pm. When you’re standing in front of Colston Hall there’s an archway directly to the right. Walk through there, make for the double brown doors (next to the bins) – through them and downstairs to the Unicorns.
For more info please contact us on 0117 934 9013 or email us info(at)basementstudio.co.uk.

Just to keep you updated… the album has been flying out – a shit load of downloads with very little PR and promo, and that’s all thanks to you, so thank you for the love and support – we put a lot of effort into this little beauty, and we’re proud as hell to be able to show it to the world, let alone to have it sell as much as it has!! We’ve been getting airplay in NY, some regional, and it’s all groovy!!
Myself and Jagos will be playing the material at our upcoming nights – so check the calendar on our page if you wanna come check us out – Anti-pop consortium for te left field heads, and @ The Golden Lion for the rump shakers… plus keep an eye out, as we may be embarking on a tour of the South Weezy, so watch this space!!
Also, we will be selling the CD’s at up coming events, cus some people can’t move with the times, and moan when shit is in MP3… backwards I tells ya!!
Oh, and check the page for some new, slightly wrong photo’s, a new demo of the album material cut up real quick for those with an uber-short attention span, a free album for download, and the link to the “Something’s What We’ve Done” download via Chemical Records!!
