Basement in Birmingham actually lies beneath the City and is situated @ Holloway Circus, it is central on the route between New Street Station and Etap Hotel (8 minute walk from both)
Having built a reputation with the parties of Beatnik, Trick Disco, Kronic Sounds, Come Up and Jay's House ... Basement remains solidly underground with its very different approach to the Midland scene.
A venue with two very different rooms, one for the obvious and another which transforms with the mood of time.
Expect plenty of the same in 2008 as the intimacy evolves.
Peace in the Basement

STUPID FRESH headlining a brand new night at Basement - SHAMBLES!
Stupid Fresh consists of Tod Hodge & Chris Elliot and together they bring a unique fresh sound to dance floors across the country, blending electro, techno and according to them “any other mad shit we feel like”.
Stupid Fresh has had a number of successful digital releases including a remix of Kissy Sell Outs ‘Her’. This particular release reached number 2 in the Juno Electro House download charts. Other releases include a remix of Andy Prior’s ‘Technobabble’ and ‘Turbo Disco’ which reached No. 1 in the Xpress Beats Electro chart.
More recently the guys have remixed the massive ‘Jump Around’ track by Micky Slim and also ‘Hit the Club’
Only a year ago the Come Up parties had already caused a stir amongst music lovers, clubbers and DJ's all wanting to see what the hype was about.
Come Up was to be the much alternative to the Midlands scene. Not being afraid of using diversity throughout an evening, the guys involved were never going to play safe like the rest of the nights surrounding them. Using Techno as a basis to build, the twists-within kept the underground mentality firm but still able to reach new admirers that had never heard such a sound.
Its been 5 months since Come Up has played in the Midlands, but the party can now be found on the 1st Saturday of every month at Basement in Birmingham, a result for the City knowing that the alternative is out there.
Launching on the 1st March, Come Up welcome 'Carl Anians' who is being hyped up by non other than Techno legend 'Carl Cox' who is rinsing the guys productions on dance-floors all over the world.
Expect all things house, plenty of acid, breaks and sparks of electro endured on this night of TECHNO!!
