About me:

Thank you for visiting my page. I have been spinning since 1979 and love all types of music but I am feelin' House, Dance Classics, Old School Hip-Hop and Jazz the most. My music has taken a backseat to life... But... I have decided to dust off my tables and crank them up "one mo' gin" [one more time].

A little about me...

I have been involved in the radio broadcast industry for over 15 years and got my start when my first Hip-Hop mix was played on the "Jerry Bloodrock" Show on WHBI-FM in Newark, New Jersey in 1981. I was a true Hip-Hop head and loved taking the PATH subway from Jersey City to New York to get the latest breaks from Rock n' Soul Records. I fell in love with House Music when visiting clubs like Zanzibar, Sensations/New Experience, Club 88, Club Cheetah and the Paradise Garage. I eventually spun at Club Eleganza in Newark thanks to the resident, DJ Kasim.

I can remember back in high school WALKING from Sensations on Bradford Place in downtown Newark after a good party night with my cousins... up South Orange Avenue to my cousin's house near Dubrow's Drugstore near Seton Hall. The #31 didn't run that late and we had nothing better to do... those were the dayz!

I later attended college at FAMU, pledged Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and was introduced to other types of music from around the country. I experimented by combining different styles of music, like Miami bass and house. Thursday Night socials at the Frat house and the annual Mardi Gras events were legendary. [Think of 50,000 people trying to get into an event for 10,000]

From 1983 - 1991 I was spinning house, hip-hop, classics, reggae, etc. at parties and on the radio in T-town and lovin' life!

When I moved to Atlanta, I spun at EarWax 2nd Saturday's, and was the resident DJ at "Diamond's & Pearls" and "Al Capone's". I hosted a radio show called 'Spin Cycle' on 88.5 and 'House Vibes' on 102.5FM as 'DJ X-Treme and the Basement Soul Disciples' spinning club, disco, dance classix and rare groove mixes. I also worked with voiceover legend Mitch Faulkner for two years.

I currently am a Sr. IT Project Manager with Turner Broadcasting in Atlanta where I have managed large-scale web-based video and mobile products for CartoonNetwork.com, AdultSwim.com , ToonamiJetstream.com and CNN.com. I have worked as an IT consultant with WebMD, Ericsson and MediaOne and got a chance to work in Scottland, London and Sweden. I am loving life and blessed to be here reflecting with other lovers of life! Drop me a line and let me know what you have been up to.
