Basic Manuvers is a group of 4 djs and 1 Mc: Dj Basic, Rukus, Kid Flames, Scape and Mc Smoke1. All began a long time a go due to a dream that Basic and Smoke had on making a crew that could characterize the Drum and Bass movement the best way possible.
With the arrival of Scape and Rukus to the crew that dream was finnaly realized in 2006.
Then Dj kid Flames also joined the crew giving a big experience on the field due to a massive knowledge on Djing, Turntablism and Scratch skills. All those ingredients made possible to achieve the level that they wanted since the beginning.
The first time they all played together was in October 2006. They have the ability to play all sorts of styles in Drum and Bass, making the public thrill till the extreme. Goldie, Generation Dub, Taxman, Nicky Blackmarket, Dj Zen, Patife, Fresh, Temper D, Shy Fx, Clipz are a few names witch Basic Manuvers were proud to perform with.
Porto-Rio is the club where they make their monthly residence giving them the opportunity to make parties with national and international Djs and Producers.
Recently they sign a contract with Lusitek witch is a big national agency giving them the opportunity to go further and better.
O colectivo Basic Manuvers é constituído por 4 Djs e 1 Mc sendo eles Dj Scape (Ricardo Cálem), Dj Rukus (Ricardo Carneiro), Dj Kid Flames (Francisco Lopes), Dj Basic (Ricardo Resende) e Mc Smoke1 (Bruno Parente). Tudo começou a muito tempo atrás devido a vontade que o Dj Basic e o Mc Smoke1 tinham em formar uma crew com o intuito de caracterizar o movimento do Drum and Bass, da melhor forma possível.
Com o passar do tempo juntaram-se, a eles, o Dj Scape e o Dj Rukus fazendo com que sonho fosse finalmente realizado (2006). Depois, juntou-se ao colectivo, o Dj Kid Flames, ja com uma grande experiência na área, tanto a nível de djing, como de turntablism, o que fez com que todos os ingredientes necessários estivessem reunidos e que a partir dai fosse possivel sonhar cada vez mais alto.
A primeira actuação em que todos tocaram juntos foi em Outubro de 2006 e até agora não têm parado de demonstrar o seu talento em tocar todos os tipos de estilo dentro do drum e a sua vontade em levar o publico ao extremo. Ja tiveram a honra de participar em festas com grandes figuras de panorama internacional, citando alguns; Goldie, Generation Dub, Taxman, Nicky Blackmarket, Dj Zen, Patife, Fresh, Temper D, Shy Fx, Clipz. Neste momento estão com uma residência mensal na Discoteca Porto-Rio onde organizam eventos de todo o tipo de calibre, tanto com nacionais como com internacionais.
Recentemente assinaram contracto com a agência Lusitek que se tem destacado em contratar artistas de todos os géneros musicais proporcionando-lhes alargar os seus horizontes. E-Mail: geral@lusitekagency.com
