Born in 2006, Basin & Range has exploded onto the Northwest
music scene with a fresh take on the modern dance-funk movement. Citing
influences as varied as King Crimson, Jaga Jazzist & Tortoise, B & R weaves together elements of funk, rock and dance
with respect for both groove and sophisticated harmony. With the current line-up of maxophone, guitar, bass, drums & various electronics, B &
R crafts a blend of up-tempo instrumental compositions that are
equally dance-heavy and intelligent. Although a typical set will feature
mainly original material, B & R will also put a new twist on
an old favorite from time to time. Check out Basin & Range at any of
