Born in 2006, Basin & Range has exploded onto the Northwest
music scene with a fresh take on the modern dance-funk movement. Citing
influences as varied as King Crimson, Jaga Jazzist & Tortoise, B & R weaves together elements of funk, rock, dance and hip-hop,
with respect for both groove and sophisticated harmony. With the current line-up of maxophone, bass, drums & various electronics, B&R crafts a blend of dirty instrumental compositions that are
equally dance-heavy and intelligent.
