Sounds Like
some breed of rock and roll partly-influenced by the technical structure and genius of the Pixies.
Basketball Charles is a folk inspired, experimental rock & roll band that somehow commenced in Fall 2008. They are heavily influenced by 80's and early 90's era rock and roll, punk, and folk music and a slew of the musical offspring of those decades, but nevertheless acknowledge, and perhaps, intentionally strive to be "new music", as they recognize the inescapable necessity for "pragmatic transcendentalism".
Kyle currently studies music and film at Evergreen and drinks much too much coffee. Per has been playing funky guitar for many years and is a crazy visual artist versed in sculpture, graphic and comic-book art, screenwriting, and film-making.
Caleb has done some solo music projects, but this is his first time singing and writing in a band. He plays Didjeridoo and Drums on the side and is an avid painter and writer.
Basketball Charles wishes to thank Coffee, Pie, Beer and Meat....and Beets
(Charles wishes he was from late eighties. But time is a slinky and we are connected to the ring right below us. Charles has an inferiority complex, he wishes he was a vagabond bartender from the late 1980's. Charles' advice is to always bet on the pretty horse.)
