  ? BIOGRAPHY BAS & RAM BIOGRAPHY BAS & RAM The immense popular (hard)trance-duo Bas & Ram have recently reached a unique moment in their music career by celebrating their 10th anniversary. It seems ages ago that the two Amsterdam-based DJs met in the legendary Dutch club Trancebuddha and decided to work together and kick some serious ass in the world of dancemusic. Not only it was at this venue where the seeds were planted for a long and warm friendship, they also became one of the pioneers spreading the trancesound throughout Holland. Behind the decks Bas & Ram operate as a unique DJ-team that can move and destroy every possible dancefloor with their melodic, uplifting, energetic and banging sound. At this moment they have visited numerous countries and played the biggest events in and outside of Holland: InQontrol (35.000 people), Qlimax (25.000), Trance Energy (20.000), Defqon1 (30.000), Mysteryland Festival (40.000), Sensation (40.000), Q Base(20,000), Decibel (25.000), Dance Valley (50.000) and Impulz (20.000) and much more... Bas & Ram had already been DJ-ing individually for several years when they started working together.. In this club the duo created instant dance history, long before Holland was fully respected on the international trance-scene. The residents gained a huge following of devoted trance lovers and within a few months the club was sold out every Saturday night. Trancebuddha became an absolute hotspot in Amsterdam with guest-DJ’s like Tiësto, Gary D, Spider, Oliver Lieb and Randy Katana. Soon Bas & Ram were frequently booked DJs, they played at numerous parties and clubs and launched the successful concept ‘Legends Of Sound’. Of course the closing down of their second home Trancebuddha in 2001 as a big disappointment. The year of 2002 saw the highly successful release of their first mix-cd ‘ID&T Hardtrance’ on ID&T Music, the second edition was released that same year. In the new millennium Bas & Ram were also producing their own music more often. They worked together with producers like Ralph Novell , CJ Stone & Milo. Artento Divini. Nowadays Bas & Ram can be described as the absolute emperors of the Dutch electro-, tech- and hardtrance sound who have played many abroad gigs in a.o. Ukrainian, Belgium, Portugal, Azores, Brazil, Poland, Germany, Mexico, England, Israel, Greece, Macedonia and so on. They started organizing their own afternoon parties called ‘Club Déjà Vu’ at Happydayzz Venue in Culemborg, which became a major success. Club Déjà Vu was the setting for appearances of internationally acclaimed DJs such as Marcel Woods, Eddie Halliwell, Judge Jules, Cor Fijneman, Randy Katana, Greece 2000, Yves de Ruyter, Cosmic Gate, Dumonde, Svenson and Ronald van Gelderen. Déjà Vu’s concept is to take the visitors back on a thrilling trip to memorylane playing all those memorable tranceclassics from the period of 1995 to 2002. Bas & Ram wanted to broaden their organization, so in June 2006 they started their other project called TranceSetterZ based in Club Outland in Rotterdam. TranceSetterZ became one of the leading trance events because atmosphere, experience and top class music are the main ingredients. It’s a unique balance between ‘Art Nouveau’, ‘Art Deco’ and ‘High Tech’, challenging yet very effective. The first editions featured Eddie Halliwell, Simon Patterson, Krzysztof Chochlow, Sean tyas, Marcel Woods, Randy Katana, Johan Gielen ,dj Choose and there are still many more world class DJs to play at Trancesetterz in the future. So as you can understand, a new hype was born in Holland’s world of trance. TranceSetterZ takes over Club Outland once every two months and it has already attracted and surprised many visitors and it will continue to do so in the future. At the end of 2008 new, big events are coming on their way! The FreaxxShow, one of their new parties in The Matrixx, Nijmegen-NL), which is comparable to Manumission (Ibiza). A musical extravaganza with sizzling shows! These shows brought by Bas & Ram, will take the Dutch club scene to a new dimension of clubbing, comparable to the magic Ibiza nights! Needless to say these club nights will bring you the world’s most respected trance artists!
