Barry (B.A.) Andrews was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 1, 1970. He began playing bass guitar at age eleven, and his musical development was strongly influenced by his father Robert Lee. Barry grew up listening to all types of music from gospel, classical, jazz, R&B, and Rock. Jazz greats such as Harold McKinney and Marcus Belgrave instilled in Barry a love for the bass guitar, preparing him for the entertainment industry as an accompanist bass player, arranger and composer.
Specializing in gospel, contemporary, fusion and traditional jazz, Barry released his first CD Mind over Matter in the fall of 2003. Barrys future plans include staying in the entertainment industry, and becoming one of the most creative and influential solo artists of all time.
