Hi guys, I was in drum corps way back when 80-83 (Velvet Knights drum corps from Anahiem CA.), here is a pick of back then. I am the 2nd one from the left hehe.

Sounds Like
My music is a mix of all my different influences over the years. I think you will hear many different styles and textures in what I do, I'm interested in melodies and feeling more than trying to do a pop or strictly jazz kind of thing. :)

Hi, my name is Darrell Craig Harris, I am a musician and composer based in Las Vegas, I also work frequently in Los Angeles and Helsinki Finland. I was for the past five years in Las Vegas as the bassist, and backup Taiko drum soloist with Cirque Du Soleil's "Mystere" at Treasure Island Casino. I am currently preparing to be the bassist for the newest Cirque production at Tokyo Disneyland in Japan.
I have been performing for many years, my first US/Canadian tour was at the young age of fifteen years old. I started on guitar and vocals, then drums/percussion, and finally bass guitar (4,5, and 6 string electric fretted and fret less bass, also electric and acoustic uprite/double bass). I attended Musicians Institute in Hollywood California (84-85), majoring in electric bass guitar. Along the way, I have met some of the worlds greatest musicians, and been fortunate enough to perform in many of the worlds greatest cities.
My most recent compositions have been for my two CD's "Endless" and "Happiness", these are both available on I Tunes music store and numerous other online music stores. I also just finished composing with my writing partner Martin StPierre (www.martinstpierre.com) the score for the upcoming independent film "Ablution". A sample of the music for the film can be heard on my music player above.
Drumming and percussion have been a long time passion of mine, starting when I joined high school marching band. In the same time period I became a member of the Velvet Knights drum and bugle corps from Anaheim California. I marched with VK from 80-83, and in my time with the corps, I played various instruments (bass dr., quads, snare) and instructed for a period of time. I have in recent years been doing extensive recording as a percussionist, and have been fortunate to be involved with my good friend Martin StPierre (www.MartinStpierre.com) on many great projects (films, live performance, and upcoming international releases) I have recently been focusing on World style drumming, using African, Latin and middle eastern instruments including Darbuka, Djembe, Congas/bongos among others. You can view my percussion page at: www.myspace.com/darrellcraigharris (copy and paste into your browser) or see in my top friends :)
Alsooooo, you can see me and my other "Mystere" cast mates in the upcoming Universal film "Knocked Up" coming out this June :0)
