Bassline Magazine is an online music magazine focusing on all genres of electronic dance music as well as underground hip-hop. This magazine is for the people of the scene, whether a DJ, producer, party-goer, promoter, MC, graffiti artist, or someone who just appreciates and loves the music. Bassline Magazine is here to five respect to all the locals in the scene. Our focus is on the Midwest and East Coast with major concentration in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Maryland and Washington D.C. There are many artists in these areas that are looking to get their name known, and we hope to be a media outlet for them. Our mission is to try to reach everyone and shed light on how people are keeping the underground alive in the changing times. By focusing on club events, parties, shows, vinyl/CD releases, art, graffiti, clothing labels, profiling DJs/producers, spotlighting up-and-coming heads as well as covering issues affecting hip-hop and electronic musicâs culture, Bassline strives to reflect our scene. We must embrace our culture with the knowledge and understanding so that our scene continues for the next generations. Music is the universal language that connects us all.

The legendary Starscape Festival returns for its 10th year, to bring you a day and night of music and entertainment under the stars, culminating in the sunrise over the Chesapeake Bay. This year's event has five areas of music: The Main Stage features live bands, a crushing sound system, and top-notch visual production. The Buzz Area will be under a 10,000 sq ft tent, focuses on electronic dance music and features an audiovisual assault on the senses. The Steez Promo Drum n Bass area takes place under a 6,000 sq ft tent, and features the worlds best drum n bass talent and a bass heavy sound system sure to make your insides shake. There will be two beach stages this year; one stage will focus on live music and feature national, regional, and local jamtronica and reggae bands, the other stage will be hosted by Sonic Soul, Essential Breaks, and The Remix Renegades and will feature a wide array of dance music from a number of regional and local artists. The festival will also feature a 40 ft live graffiti wall, a full art gallery featuring local and regional artists, and vendors from around the mid-Atlantic region.
