BASSRUNNER SOUNDTRIBE AUSTRIAS VERSATILE SOUND
By tirelessly touring Austria as well as its neighbouring countries, Viennas Soundsystem BASSRUNNER SOUNDTRIBE has managed to establish a reputation of being the most active Reggae Sound out of Austria. With a style ranging from the latest in Reggae and Dancehall to the best of Foundation, HipHop and Reggaetón the crew around Selector Loopus is able to cater every crowd.
Besides performing at numerous shows, including stirring live performances by Chilenean singer EL CONDORSíTO and extra-talented newcomer EMILIANO, who joined the family beginning of 2007, as well as exquisite dubplates, the tribe also produces music of excellent quality.
The first 45 Angelito was released in May 2004 and one year later BASSRUNNER PRODUCTIONS launched their first riddim called Burning.
The highly anticipated riddim call TRAGEDY, released in spring 2006, features artistes like LUKIE-D, PERFECT, SPECTACULAR, REBELLION, D-FLAME, EL CONDORSíTO, Ill INSPECTA and many more, was the next big step forward for the label and was a huge success all over europe and japan.
Fall 2006 was the time, when the first BASSRUNNER dancehall riddim call THUG FUNK focused on the upcoming hardcore heros of the european scene MILLION STYLEZ (sweden), ILL INSPECTA (germany), MAD KILLAH (france) and many more, was finished.
The one drop monster named GLORIOUS featuring JAH MASON, LUTAN FYAH, SPECTACULAR, NATTY KING, MILLION STYLEZ & ILL INSPECTA with two TOP 10 entries in the german reggae charts and right-in-your-face-dancehall GHETTO RIDE RIDDIM with appearances by BUSY SIGNAL, DA..VILLE, WARD 21, HOLLOW POINT were released fall/winter 2007.
This year Bassrunner was busy with producing new riddims and songs for different artistes and could release the dancehallstomper OUTLAW RIDDIM with tracks by T.O.K., MR. EVIL, DETERMINE, RMYZO DE GUSTO, NEW KINGSTON and more. Second release 2008 was RAVEN by german singjay RANKING SMO incl. a video shot in berlin.
And because reggaemusic is moving fast the next productions are already in progress, stay tuned for 2009!
