Welcome Folks! .. Originally from Minot, ND. Nashville has been my home for almost 17 years. I started playing drums at the age of ten and at thirteen switched to bass. I performed with bands in the Midwest until the mid 70's when I joined a road band based in Denver and ended up in Boulder Colorado where I played with some funk, top 40 and fusion bands for several years then moved back to North Dakota to record and produce an album with “Tripleshot”. In 1981 I moved to Oklahoma City where I played with several talented musicians until moving to Nashville. I've have played a wide variety of gigs from clubs, recording sessions, showcases, TV shows, to churches and writers' nights. I am currently playing and recording in the Nashville area with several different bands and artists. I play a 4 String Fender Jazz, a 5 string Atelier Z an old 5 string Ampeg Baby Bass, and sing lead & backup vocals. .. I am currently performing with the very talented Doug Stone and have performed with several fantastic artists including Jerry Reed, Mel McDaniel, Steve Holy, Buddy Jewel, Shelly West, Ronna Reeves, Rusty Tabor, Sam Corley, Great Divide, Jody Miller, and others not so popular in name but also great musical experiences including Doc's Outlaws, Sound Advice, The Motown Maniacs, The Randall Brothers, The Burton Band, The Contagious Brothers Band, Hot Spice, Kaluha, Wood Rose, Mutt & Jeff, The Road Runners, Pierson Lake, Riff, Mr.Party, The Mighty Mellow Moods to name a few. I enjoy playing many different styles but locking in with a good drummer is one of my favorite musical experiences. Some of the GrooveMiesters I have worked with include Mike Kennedy (George Strait, Jamie Johnson), Linn Williams (Delbert McClinton, T. Graham Brown, Leroy Parnell, Brian White), LeJoe Young (Country Tonight Show, Travis Tritt) , George Pirelli ( Michael McDonald, Donna Summers, Reba Macintyre), Scott “Lumpy” Myer (Tom T. Hall, Trace Atkins), Steve Reid ( The Rippingtons ), Pat McDonald (Tanya Tucker, Leon Russell, Charlie Daniels), Preston Stanfield (Shelly Wright), Johnny Mills (Jerry Reed), Jim Reilly ( Mark Chestnut, Rascal Flatts), Roy Ayers (Average White Band), David Northrop (Travis Tritt, Joel Sonnier), Rich Redman ( Jason Aldean ), Terry Ballard, Gary Kubal (Bobby Bear), Bill Bonnett (Martin Delray, 3Dlive) Kathy Burkley, Billy Jones (William Golden, Joel Sonnier, Billy Joe Royal) Andy Hull (Lee Greenwood) Herb Schucher ( Randy Travis), Shaun Apple (Doug Stone) Russ Caudill ( David Lee Murphy), Brian Nelson ( Trick Pony) Vic Mastriani ( Ted Nugent, The Dirt Band, Reba) and Dave McAfee ( Toby Keith and Jamie Johnson) ..
