Bastian Weinhold is born in Germany, October 1986. Bastian started studying drums at the age of 7 and took first professional drum lessons 4 years later. During that time Bastian played, together with his brother Nils(guitar), in several Rock/Blues formations all over Germany and got more and more serious about music. In the age of 16, Bastian took private lessons with Prof. Michael Kuettner, who introduced him to the Jazz vocabulary. From 2003-2006 Bastian studied with Daniel Messina from Argentina at the Drum Department in Stuttgart(GER) and won several Jazz competitions in Germany. After graduating from high school in 2006, Bastian got accepted at the Conservatorium Van Amsterdam in Holland, where he is currently enrolled in the Bachelor/Jazz program and studying with Marcel Serierse and Martijn Vink. Next to the study program, Bastian is part of all kinds of Jazz-,Rock-, etc. formations in Europe and keeps himselfe busy with writing and arranging his own music as well.
Since his brother Nils moved to New York City, Bastian has a strong contact to the New York Jazz scene where he gets a lot of his musical inspiration as well as having the chance to get private lessons with the drummers John Riley, Clarence Penn and Justin DiCioccio.

Miguel Zenon,Joey Calderazzo, Jonathan Kreisberg, Michael Sagmeister,Franz von Chossy, John Escreet, Zack Lorber,Clemens and Paul van der Feen, Lars Dietrich, Yaniv Nachum, Francesco Angiuli and many more!____________________________________________________________________________In March 2009 the New School For Jazz And Contemporary Music and the Manhattan School Of Music in New York City offered Bastian to continue his study at their institution. In September 2009 Bastian moved to New York and is currently enrolled as a fulltime student at Manhattan School Of Music.

Argh-argh.argh! Go see my new movie, kloooone! How are you? Heard about your back-thingie, hope you're doing better! No news from Norway, just raining and expensive... Going to Budapest on friday to see Faith no More and to drink beer, and maybe to do some beer gardening...
