The Young Band Development Program is designed to teach young musicians how to be in a band, from rehearsal, to the show, to marketing, to positive and constructive communication. BRMS books gigs for the bands in order to keep them moving forward and holding them accountable for assigned tasks.

Baton Rouge Music Studios seeks to educate aspiring musicians in a safe environment for all ages. The program offers quality music instruction in ear training, theory, and instrument technique in order to foster creative expression in music. Baton Rouge Music Studios also seeks to model motivation and communication techniques that will provide students with the skills necessary to work with other musicians in a constructive, critical manner. Furthermore, the program seeks to instill a love for music that will last a lifetime. As the faculty and the students interact in the normal flow of the programs activities, the faculty members serve as role models musically, morally, and ethically as the young people whom they teach mature in their musical growth.
