‘With A Gun Between Your Teeth, You Speak Only In Vowels’ is the debut EP from Dorset based 5-piece Battle For Paris, although it is as much of a statement of intent as is it an EP.
Combining frenzied guitars with distorted vocals, Battle For Paris’ sound is as hard hitting and brutal as anyone out there today. But they also prove they have an ear for melody as well as violence as they let their songs breathe with some classic and distinctly post-hardcore melodies.
In a scene that becomes more stagnant everyday, Battle For Paris should be embraced by those left behind who are still in this for the music and not the fashion show. IIFTM Zine
