I love Soccer to bits. Manchester United are in my blood since I was born. Sir Alex Ferguson is one of the greats, even though he nearly got the chop after the first couple of seasons with us. With George Best from Antrim and Roy Keane from Cork how could I escape the bug!! Would love to see Becks go to Sunderland. All vote now!! I love Queens Park Rangers & Loftus Road too as I lived in West Kensington/Notting Hill Gate for 10 years & I miss the area big time all the time. STAN BOWLES IS THE MAN!
Also love Hurling, Gaelic Football, Rugby, Golf, Music and Comedy now and again! You'd get a pain in the butt from comedy at times!!!!!!!!

Stand-up comedy, improv comedy, sketch, singer/songwriters & drama are premier features of the Battle of the Axe show which is Temple Bar & Ireland’s longest established club of it kind.
Every Tuesday & Thursday nite since September 1996, artistes from every corner of Dublin, Ireland & the whole wide Globe have been performing at the battleoftheaxe.com , making it one of the most consistent open mic shows in the world.
You the audience are generally regulars, local Dubliners, Irish, students and of course bemused tourist.
New & experienced acts such as Stand-up Comedians, Singer/songwriters, Musicians, Sketch Performers, Actors, Clowns, Magicians, Poets, etc amongst others battle it out for the weekly No 1 spot, The Lucky Duck Award and Certificate voted for by the audience.
Performances can be hit and miss due to the very nature of open mic nites,
but you will be guaranteed a nite to treasure at the battleoftheaxe.com Remember in the past there have been many nites when the audience have been left crying out for more

As well as Battle of the Axe open mic night on Tuesdays you can see the best of the Battle of the Axe STAND-UP COMEDY, Improv, Sketch with Special guests on Thursday nights.
